The IU Center for Global Health develops mutually beneficial partnerships across disciplines, schools and countries for the primary purpose of creating and implementing sustainable programs that improve health and human flourishing in underserved areas worldwide, and preparing a critical mass of health education and health research experts in these communities to become the next generation of local, national and global health leaders.

AMPATH Kenya Pediatrics In-Country Lead

The role of the AMPATH Kenya Pediatrics In-Country Lead is to be an ambassador, driver, and guide of the educational mission between the North American and Kenyan institutions of the AMPATH consortium. The team leader resides in Kenya full-time and their primary mission is to build capacity through workforce development. They accomplish this by working closely with Kenyan and North American faculty, residents, and medical students to support a positive learning environment that is respectful to all. Specific responsibilities for the Pediatrics Team Leader include: hosting North American visitors, (medical trainees and teaching faculty), in Kenya, coordinating electives for Kenyan learners in North America, and functioning as a visiting lecturer within the Department of Child Health and Pediatrics at Moi University School of Medicine and Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital. The team leader engages with other service and scholarly work to the degree that these advance the primary mission of capacity building and workforce development.

AMPATH Kenya Medicine In-Country Lead

The role of the medicine in-country lead is to be an ambassador, driver, and guide of the clinical and educational missions in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine between the North American, European and Kenyan institutions of the AMPATH consortium. The in-country lead resides in Eldoret, Kenya full-time, and their primary mission is to build capacity through workforce development and contribute to the delivery of high quality care. They accomplish this by working closely with Kenyan, North American and European faculty, residents, and medical students to support a positive learning environment that is respectful to all.

This position is supported by the Indiana University Center for Global Health (IUCGH) and Indiana University (IU) Department of Medicine or Department of Family Medicine. The in-country lead will receive an appointment as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine or Visiting Professor in Family Medicine at IU School of Medicine (IUSM) and a Visiting Lecturer in Internal Medicine at Moi University School of Medicine (MUSOM).

Clinical Non-Tenure Track Professor (Open Rank) IU Indianapolis Department of Community and Global Health

The Department of Community and Global Health at the Indiana University (IU) Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health (FSPH) in Indianapolis, Indiana invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty position at the level of Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor. This position requires on-site presence in Indianapolis consistent with school and campus expectations.

This 12-month appointment (expected start date on or around July 1, 2026) emphasizes a balanced integration of teaching and community-engaged practice with service to the university. The position offers the opportunity to mentor the next generation of public health leaders while maintaining active community partnerships and applied scholarly work.
